Format for member & Officer Notes
« on: December 19, 2011, 11:33:35 AM »
Here is the Gunbad standard for member and officer notes:

Your Members Note

Everyone in the guild will have their member note formatted in the following format *MainName/ForumName* and nothing else in there.  As an example for me this will be "Cryptor/Cryptor".  Please do not add any extra characters to the note, this is not the part where you get creative.  Each one of us will have this same note on every character that's gilded in order for me to be able to keep tabs on who's who and how many alts are in the game.  It is crucial that I can sort the roster by members note and have all of your characters grouped together thanx to the fact that your members note is the same on all characters.

Your Officers Note

This will be made visible to everyone and you will be able to edit your own officers note.  They will have a format of "###ggg/###ccc/###mmm".  This second note will identify your levels and types of (in order) Gathering Skill/Crafting Skill/Mission Skill.  As an example for me this would be "034Bio/057Bio/032Dip"

With these  things in place it will be superbly easy to tell who's who, who has what characters, what their name on the forum is and what & how they are doing at crew skills.

This standard is here for a reason, please follow it and do not deviate from the outline.  It is crucial that I can sort the roster by members note and have all of your characters grouped together thanx to the fact that your members note is the same on all characters.

The "codes" for various crew skills are as follows:

Archaeology - Arc
Bioanalysis - Bia
Scavenging - Sca
Slicing - Sli

Armormech - Amc
Armstech - Atc
Artifice - Art
Biochem - Bic
Cybertech - Cyb
Synthweaving - Syn

Diplomacy - Dip
Investigation - Inv
Treasure Hunting - Tre
Underworld Trading - Und

Well, I know my member note is already right. That was how I decided to set it up in the first place, heh.
I'll get my Officer note setup as soon as the servers come back up.

Just prior to the servers going down tonight I updated the Members Notes but I did not see anywhere to update the Officers Notes.

Is that an option that you(Cryp) need to turn on for us or is my age getting in the way again and I missed it?

Seeing as how this is a sticky for the Empire Chapter, I would expect to see something similar for the Republic Chapter.

That, or this should be a sticky in the main SWTOR node....

Speaking of the Republic chapter, a question:

For Member notes in Gungood, do I use the name of my main from Gunbad, or the name of my primary Republic alt, which is really my main in Gungood, a separate guild?

I would suggest that you use your Gungood main in Gungood notes and Gunbad main in Gunbad notes.  But the final decision is up to West.

The main idea behind this is to let everyone know what your main character in that guild is.
